Costs & insurances

Is chiropractic covered by health insurance in Germany?
You do not need a referral or prescription to book with our chiropractic team.aboutchiro is a private practice. All treatments are considered private services. Private health insurance companies will usually cover the cost if you provide them with a bill.
The services of alternative practitioners are not part of the standard benefits of statutory health insurance. Some statutory health insurance companies reimburse or subsidise services provided by alternative practitioners, but unfortunately this is rare.

More Info
Chiropractic treatments are billed according to the German fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GeBüH). Massage treatments are not covered under the GeBüH and are invoiced separately.
Many private health insurers cover the cost of chiropractic care, we recommend checking directly with your provider before your first appointment. Please note that we are unable to contact your insurer on your behalf.
Payment is due at the end of each appointment. You will receive an invoice, either printed or by email, which you can submit directly to your health insurer. We accept card and cash payments.
We are not members of an osteopathic association, and statutory health insurers do not cover osteopathic treatments. This does not affect the quality of care we provide.
If you are unsure whether our treatments are right for you, we are happy to advise you before your first appointment.
